Web Output

The SysMedia PLANET engine creates GIF-format page images or extracts plain-text content automatically from a teletext service in order to populate a website. It can also generate teletext representation files which can be navigated using a website remote control generated by a Java applet. PLANET delivers another output platform for the teletext content with no additional production effort, broadening the reach of the service and hence the opportunities for advertising.

As well as creating images or extracting content, PLANET detects the in-page navigation links, URL references and Fastext links, and automatically defines these as links in the corresponding web output. This means that the website representation of the teletext service can be navigated very quickly, making it a compelling proposition.

Incorporating the image or text output from PLANET is simply a matter of creating an HTML template containing special tags. Links can be configured to present in different colours to indicate whether they are available or not. The system can be used with third-party teletext services if required.
