Teletext services are the ideal platform for revenue generation through advertising, sponsored pages and SMS response. PLASMA supports the full range of advertising options, including full pages, interleaves, part-pages and advertising banners. It also adds to revenue opportunities through support for SMS input and multiple platform output.

Access rights enable restrictions to be applied for different users. This flexibility means that adverts can be provided and updated by outside agencies without interfering with the editorial parts of the service - or indeed with other advert pages.

PLASMA is fully scalable: it is used across the whole range of services from the world's largest commercial teletext operation, to public service broadcasters, to many smaller-scale service providers some of which started with a single editing terminal and an insertion card. As revenues from the services grow, the system can be scaled up quickly and easily to accommodate additional channels, pages and users.
