1033 Calibrated Distortion Unit (Teletext)

The 1033 is the industry standard for the testing and evaluation of both data eye-height / data-slicing performance of teletext decoder designs and TV receivers.

Variable noise and co-channel interference simulation.
Output data line selection available via rear panel switches.
8 different data signals available.
Position of data on the line can be set in increments of one teletext clock pulse.
Video cross hatch waveform.
Can be used in conjunction with 2016 Teletext Test Page Generator.
Customisation for specialist applications available on request.

1033CC Closed Caption Calibrated Distortion Unit

The 1033 is also available in a Closed Caption (CC) version for the Americas etc, allowing testing of decoders in accordance with the EIA-608 Recommended Practice for line 21 data services.

Suitable for 525 line NTSC, Line 21 Closed Captions (625 line PAL-N Line 18 version for South America also available).
Generates Closed Caption and Text test signals.
Measures the eye-height / data slicing performance of the decoder.
Variable noise and co-channel interference simulation.
8 different signals inserted in field 1 and 2.
Supports Extended Data Services (XDS or EDS).
V-Chip Test Data with optional PC control software.
