RTÉ

The teletext service at Irish public broadcaster RTÉ also includes the award-winning and highly successful WAP-based RTÉ Aertel Mobile Service that allows mobile users access to republished content from its teletext pages.

The RTÉ service is powered by SysMedia's PLASMA 3 and GOLD content management systems with a SysMedia WAP Delivery Gateway. Teletext pages from PLASMA 3 are made available as WAP content for the RTÉ Aertel Mobile Service with no additional operational overhead. The WAP Gateway delivers the teletext content as WML pages directly into the structure of the compatible WAP service completely automatically and simultaneously with the teletext page updates.

Another special feature of RTÉ's Aertel teletext services allows Irish bookmakers (a major advertising segment) to edit and instantly update betting information on their pages of over a standard IP connection, ensuring that punters always have the very latest racing information as quickly as possible.

HRT

HRT (Hrvatska Radiotelevizija), Croatia's largest national broadcaster, chose SysMedia's Plasma content production and management system in 2006 to provide the teletext service for its two national terrestrial channels and international Croatian language satellite channel, with consideration towards future digital TV text services as well.

The Plasma system is used to create a wide range of content including: news, weather, TV and radio schedules, betting information, traffic and much more. Plasma's highly advanced data feed and automation functions were among the key reasons that Plasma was chosen, improving speed and accuracy of output and allowing a reduction in operator involvement and therefore cost.

TVNZ

TVNZ, New Zealand's public service broadcaster, have a special advertisement scheduling utility developed by SysMedia to supplement their teletext system that uses PLASMA and GOLD to manage both digital and analogue versions of the content.

Teletext Ltd

Teletext Ltd is the UK's independent provider of the teletext service carried by the 3 UK terrestrial commercial broadcasters (ITV, Channel 4 and Five). The company generates millions of pounds in annual profits from advertising carried on its services.

Eurosport

Eurosport, the specialist European sports channel uses a SysMedia Plasma teletext system where news, results, fixtures and tables are all imported and updated automatically from Eurosport's extensive sports information database. Automated batch scheduling processes help manage the dataset based on a calendar of specific events.

Mediacorp

Mediacorp in Singapore make extensive use of automated data feeds on their 3 channel Plasma teletext system providing, for instance, stock exchange data and airport arrival/departures.
